Who Am I?

I’m a Marketing Geek:

I’ve loved marketing for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I’d watch ads and think about how they could be done better. That curiosity eventually became a career.

My background is in performance marketing, with experience across a wide range of industries and brands, including helping lead the digital strategy for one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing financial services companies. Today, I’m at Les Mills New Zealand, where I get to combine my passion for marketing with my passion for health and fitness.

At Les Mills, I’ve played a key role in shaping brand strategy and helping bring platforms such as Be Imperfect and Go Full Gym to life. While I’m deeply data-driven, I believe the strongest brands balance creativity with commercial outcomes. For me, marketing isn’t a support function — it’s a true engine for growth.

I’m a Runner:

I have run countless ½ Marathons, several Marathons, and trail events of all different sizes and scales. Running is my happy place; its where I solve my problems, relieve my stress, and blow off steam. Exercise and fitness is a huge passion of mine. The abillity to combine my professional passion with my personal passion is something I’m very greatful for and keen to continue.

Im a Snowboarder:

I love snowboarding and take every chance I have to hit the mountains. I have been fortunate enough to spend considerable time skiing and snowboarding all over New Zealnd. I have spent two seasons abroad, one in Canada and one in Austria.

I’m a Homebrew Enthusiast

I love brewing beer and experimenting with different recipes and styles. The process is surprisingly similar to marketing: test, learn, refine, and repeat.

As a bit of fun, I even created my own mock brewery brand, The Boat House Brewery, for friends and family. It started as a joke, but quickly became a creative outlet to flex my branding muscles.

More About Me:

My Professional Experience

With over 10 years of experience, I’m a full-stack marketing professional with expertise across SEO, PPC, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), and digital growth strategy.

Alongside my marketing background, I bring a unique blend of technical and commercial expertise. I have led the implementation of marketing automation platforms at both Squirrel and Les Mills, as well as the redevelopment of the Les Mills Member App.

This combination of marketing, technology, and project leadership allows me to bridge the gap between strategy and execution. I’m comfortable translating commercial objectives into technical requirements, collaborating closely with developers, and successfully delivering complex digital projects.

My Personal Life

I’m a proud dad to a young daughter who’s about to start school, with another little one on the way.

Being a parent has taught me a lot about patience, perspective, and prioritisation. I love the energy, commitment, and daily reminder to embrace curiosity and have fun.

The Boat House Brewery

Have you ever looked at the ocean and thought, “Wow, that’s wonderfully predictable and always the same?”

Of course not.

The sea is beautifully inconsistent. One minute it’s calm and inviting; the next it’s throwing you around and making you question your life choices. That unpredictability is exactly the spirit behind Boat House Brewery.

Expectations? Leave them on the shore. This beer is delightfully inconsistent.

At Boat House, we don’t believe in boring predictability. That’s for people who own beige couches and understand taxes. We let the beer decide who it wants to be on any given day. It’s a bold approach—and one that guarantees you’ll never have exactly the same beer twice!
